NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team lost 5-4 at Saint Mary's College Thursday evening.
Saint Mary's won two of the three doubles matches before winning three of the six singles matches to win the match.
Alex Oswalt and Maddy Winarski won 8-2 at two doubles. Maria Franco and Sonal Bahl were narrowly defeated 9-8(4) at one doubles.
Kalamazoo won in the top three spots in singles. Franco won 6-2, 6-2 at one, Winarski won 6-2, 6-4 at two, and Helen Pelak won 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-1 at three.
Kalamazoo returns home to face Alma on Sunday at 1 p.m.
