KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Caroline Norton of the Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was honored by the MIAA as the Player of the Week following her efforts against MIAA foes Hope and Alma.

Norton, a freshman from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Skyline HS), finished the week with a 2-0 record at No. 4 singles and 1-1 at No. 2 doubles. 

Norton's singles wins included a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hope and 6-0, 6-1 over Alma. Her win against Hope is the only MIAA match that the Dutch have dropped thus far. 

The freshman is now 11-7 overall in singles and 2-0 in MIAA play to begin her young career. She is also 8-8 in doubles with a 1-1 record against MIAA opponents. 

Norton and the Hornets are back in action at home Wednesday, April 10 at 4 p.m. against Olivet.
