Women's Tennis Defeats Calvin 7-2

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won its fourth straight match with a 7-2 victory over Calvin on Tuesday in Grand Rapids. 

Kalamazoo won two of its three doubles matches and went on to win in five of the six singles matches.

Caroline Norton and Renee Torres won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles and the team of Maddie Hurley and Meghan Killmaster won 8-7 at No. 3 doubles. 

Norton also defeated Calvin's Alexis Bonner 6-3, 2-6 10-6 at No. 1 singles. Sophie Zhuang continued her perfect start to the season with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the No. 3 singles spot. Renee Torres won in straight sets at No. 4 singles. Ella Knight won 6-1, 6-4 at 5 singles, and Maddie Hurley won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6. 

Kalamazoo (4-0) is scheduled to compete at Hope on April 2 at 4:30 p.m.
