KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team defeated Trine University 5-1 in an MIAA Tournament semifinal match at Stowe Stadium on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo won two out of the three doubles matches before winning three singles matches to claim the win.
Caroline Norton and Renee Torres won 8-2 at two doubles while Maddie Hurley and Meghan Killmaster won 8-5 at three doubles.
Torres was first off the courts in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win at five. Sophie Zhuang followed with a 6-0, 6-4 win at four. Helen Pelak clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-4 win at three.
Kalamazoo (11-2) advances to Friday's MIAA Tournament championhip match at Hope College.
