Women's Tennis Defeated at Wheaton

HANOVER PARK, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was defeated 6-3 at Wheaton College Saturday afternoon.

Wheaton, ranked No. 15 in the Central Region, won two of the three doubles matches before winning four singles matches to win the match.

Meghan Killmaster/Maddie Hurley won 8-2 at two doubles for the Hornets.

Ivy Walker won 6-2, 6-3 at five singles. Rebecca Elias won 5-7, 6-4, 10-4 at six singles.

Renee Torres narrowly lost 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 at one singles.

Kalamazoo returns to conference play at home Sunday when the Hornets face Saint Mary's College at 1 p.m.
