Volleyball loses MIAA opener at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-22) at Olivet on Tuesday.

The host Comets outhit Kalamazoo .202 to .140 while compiling 60 digs to Kalamazoo's 42.

Kaela Van Til led the Hornets with 12 kills in 30 attempts for a .400 attack percentage.

Nya Greenstone had nine kills with four digs and two blocks. Kelsey Hill added eight kills with two digs and two blocks.

Alex Gothard had 23 assists with seven digs. Logan Horejsi had a team-high 13 digs.

Kalamazoo (4-1, 0-1 MIAA) plays its home opener against Albion College on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
