Volleyball faces Trine, Manchester

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team played a pair of matches at Trine University on Saturday.

After a thrilling five set win over Albion on Friday, Kalamazoo came up short against Trine Saturday morning, 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

Shelby Suseland led Kalamazoo with six kills and a .400 attack percentage.

Sophie Spencer finished with five kills while Rachel Girard added four.

Dana DeVito led the Hornets with seven digs while Kaiya Herman-Hilker posted 16 digs.

After defeating Manchester 3-0 last weekend, the Spartans turned the tables today with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-19 win over the Hornets.

Kaela Van Til led Kalamazoo with four kills and four digs. Shelby Suseland added three kills and three blocks.

Kaiya Herman-Hilker had 12 assists, three assists and three blocks. Dana DeVito recorded six digs.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Saint Mary's College on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
