Volleyball falls to Saint Mary's

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost in three sets to Saint Mary's College on Wednesday, 25-14, 25-16, 25-22.

Kalamazoo tried to send it to a fourth set by taking a 16-10 lead in the third set, but Saint Mary's scored seven of the next eight points to even the score at 17-17. With the score tied 22-22, Saint Mary's scored three straight points to win the set and the match.

Kaela Van Til led Kalamazoo with nine kills and a .242 hitting percentage. 

Shelby Suseland added seven kills with three blocks.

Kaiya Herman-Hilker posted 23 assists with 12 digs while Dana DeVito led the team with 17 digs.

The Hornets return to action on Saturday with a pair of non-conference home matches at noon and 4 p.m.
