Volleyball loses MIAA opener to Adrian

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost its MIAA opener 3-1 to Adrian on Wednesday.

Kalamazoo won the opening set 25-20, but lost the momentum as Adrian won the next three sets 25-23, 25-17, 25-15.

Maria Katrantzi and Vanessa Vigier each finished with 11 kills to lead the Hornets offensively. Shelby Suseland added nine.

Kaiya Herman-Hilker finished with 34 assists and 10 digs while Taylor Ferguson led the team with 28 digs. Rachel Girard led the team with five total blocks.

Kalamazoo returns to action at Saint Mary's on Friday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.
