Volleyball caps off season with victory

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team finished off its season with a 3-1 victory over Olivet on Saturday afternoon.

Kalamazoo took the first set, then dropped the second before rallying to win the next two and secure the victory.

The Hornets had strong performances from a number of players as Rachel Girard and Maria Katrantzi both recorded double-doubles in kills and digs. Shelby Suseland and Madi Goodman also tallied double-digit kill totals with 11 and 17, respectively.

Zoey Ammon orchestrated the Kalamazoo attack with 47 assists and also chipped in 18 digs.

Defensively, Taylor Ferguson led the way the way for K as she has for much of the year with 30 digs. 

The Hornets finish the season 7-18 overall and 4-12 in MIAA play.
