Volleyball Splits Saturday Matches at Hiram

HIRAM, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday at the Hiram Invitational.

Kalamazoo vs. Kenyon

After winning the first two sets (25-22, 25-15), Kenyon rallied to win the final three sets (25-17, 25-18, 15-11) to improve to 9-1 on the season.

Madi Goodman led the Hornets with 16 kills. Shelby Suseland had 15 kills with three blocks.

Rachel Girard finished with 11 kills and 11 digs.

Zoey Ammon had 22 assists while Grace Kraft added 15. Maddie Wojcik led the team with 16 digs.

Kalamazoo vs. Frostburg State

Kalamazoo defeated Frostburg State in four sets in the final match of the tournament. After splitting the first two sets, Kalamazoo won the third and fourth to win the match.

Rachel Girard led Kalamazoo with 12 kills. Madi Goodman recorded 11 while Shelby Suseland had 10.

Zoeh Ammon had 23 assists along with 14 from Grace Kraft. Maddie Wojcik posted 16 digs.

Kalamazoo returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 18 with the start of MIAA play at Olivet.
