Shelby Suseland was selected as the Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council's women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
Suseland, a senior from Three Rivers, Mich. (Schoolcraft HS), led the Hornets in hitting percentage (.375) in their lone match this week against No. 1 Calvin. The middle hitter finished the match with four kills and a dig.
Suseland is now second on the team in kills (120) and third in hitting percentage (.235). She has led the Hornets in blocks each of the last two seasons and has finished in the top four in kills.
The volleyball team returns to play on Tuesday, Oct. 2 when they host Hope College. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
