Volleyball Falls to Baldwin Wallace, Illinois College

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost a pair of non-confernence matches at Albion College on Saturday, falling 3-1 to Baldwin Wallace University and 3-0 to Illinois College.

The Hornets won the first set against Baldwin Wallace, 25-22, before dropping the next three 25-19, 25-16, 25-12.

Brittany Miller led the Hornets with six kills. Hannah VanderLugt and Halley Johnson each finished with five. Toni Koshmider had four.

Molly Horton led the Hornets 14 assists. Jana Molby added 11.

Morgan Shearer had a team-high 14 digs. Halley Johnson finished with 11.

Illinois College defeated Kalamazoo 25-13, 25-19, 25-15 in the second match.

Claire Davis posted eight kills. Hannah VanderLugt and Brittany Miller each had five. 

Jana Molby had 14 assists. Morgan Shearer had nine digs.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to begin MIAA play on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Saint Mary's College.
