Kalamazoo College's Lauren Arquette was named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's cross country runner of the week on Monday.

Arquette, a freshman from Canton, turned in the top time at of the Lansing Community College Invitational on Friday. She completed the 5K course in a time of 18:36. 

The Hornets finished in 11th place overall in the team standings. Arquette posted third- and fourth-place finishes in her first two meets of the year.

Kalamazoo returns to action this Saturday, Oct. 17 at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
