Women's Cross country competes at Midwest Open

SOMERS, Wis. – The Kalamazoo College women's cross country team kicked off its 2016 season Saturday morning at the Midwest Open.

Leading the way for the Hornets was Victoria Thamann who finished 107th overall and recorded a time of 22:06.

Just behind Thamann was Cheyenne Allyn-White who crossed the line with a time of 22:23.

Rounding out the top five for Kalamazoo were Hannah Hamilton, Emma Farrell and Ana Mesenbring. They recorded times of 24:59, 25:40 and 25:46, respectively.

The Hornets will take next weekend off from competition before heading to the MIAA Jamboree on Sept. 24.
