The 2022-2023 Kalamazoo College men's and women's basketball seniors have selected their Most Valuable Professors to recognize this season.

The Hornets selected Dr. Amy Smith, Professor Amy MacMillan, and Dr. Alyce Brady.

Kylah Davis from the women's team selected Dr. Amy Smith from the English Department to recognize as her MVP. Kylah has taken every class possible with Dr. Smith. Dr. Smith's teaching inspired Kylah to add English as a minor and has helped her grow as a writer and a person. Kylah is grateful that Dr. Smith is always available and makes her feel safe and comfortable when dealing with issues outside the classroom.

Our next MVP is Professor Amy MacMillan from the Business Department, selected by women's senior Greta Wedge. Greta credits Professor MacMillan with granting her a breadth of knowledge and preparing her for a future in marketing and advertising. Greta appreciates Professor MacMillan for always being understanding when life happens and flexibility is needed with academics. Professor MacMillan's genuine care for students does not go unnoticed.

Men's senior Addison Atwater has selected Dr. Alyce Brady from the Computer Science Department as his MVP. Addison appreciates Dr. Brady's commitment to ensuring students fully understand the material and how to apply it in real life. Dr. Brady is always available for one-on-one help and consistently checks in to make sure that her students are doing well. Addison has enjoyed her classes the most during his time at K.

Kalamazoo College senior athletes have the opportunity to recognize their Most Valuable Professors throughout the 2022-2023 season.
