Kalamazoo College is a liberal arts college in Kalamazoo, Michigan, enrolling 1,400 undergraduate students. K is an NCAA Division III institution with 18 teams competing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. 25% of K students participate in intercollegiate athletics.
Athletics at K
Division III student-athletes take both halves of the name seriously. They recognize that their studies are the true reason they are in college, and they commit to a team above and beyond their coursework because of a real passion for their sport. Kalamazoo College provides a balance of rigorous academics and competitive athletics as part of an individualized K-Plan.
K invests in new facilities
The new Kalamazoo College Athletic Field Complex was completed in fall 2012. It includes:
- Angell Field (football)
- MacKenzie Field (soccer and lacrosse)
- Woodworth Field (baseball)
- Hornet Softball Field
- Multi-purpose intramural field
The Fieldhouse contains locker rooms, athletic training space, and other team facilities.
The Hornets Suite is used for team, campus, and community events.
K gives back
Kalamazoo College supports 685 jobs, contributing $32 million annually to the local Kalamazoo economy. K students provide over 30,000 hours of volunteer service through 40 community organizations every year.
