The seniors on the 2021 Kalamazoo College baseball team have selected their Most Valuable Professors to recognize this season.
The Hornets selected Dr. Marin Heinritz and Professor Amy MacMillan.
Senior Chase Coselman selected Dr. Marin Heinritz from the English Department to recognize as his MVP. Chase describes Dr. Heinritz as an invaluable mentor who has gone above and beyond to help him achieve his goals and plan for his future after Kalamazoo. Chase appreciates Dr. Heinritz for pushing him out of his comfort zone, forcing him to craft better writing. He is grateful for her extensive feedback and the professional advice in helping him discover his career path. Chase credits Dr. Heinritz as the most impactful professor he has ever had.
Professor Amy MacMillan from the Business Department was selected by seniors Austin Duff and Amani Karim. Austin selected Professor MacMillan because her classes always have real life application and they helped him to find a new passion and possible career path after Kalamazoo. Austin appreciates that she truly cares about setting up her students for success. Amani selected Professor MacMillan because of her commitment to her students and for the time she spends making sure that students will be successful beyond the classroom. Amani claims that the energy and passion that Professor MacMillan brings to the classroom is unmatched; she is always ready to go with a smile on her face. She is a true role model for Amani and has made a lasting impact on his attitude towards education and life as a whole.
