Baseball Drops Two at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Adrian College on Friday by scores of 11-1 and 12-2.

Game One

Adrian won the first game of the series, 11-1. Kalamazoo scored in the top of the first only to see the host Bulldogs tie the score in the bottom half. Adrian scored at least one run in each inning including four runs in the third and three in the sixth while outhitting Kalamazoo 12-5 in the game.

Blake Bean had two hits including a triple. Alex Bowden had a double. Chase Coselman drove in the only run for the Hornets.

Game Two

Kalamazoo again scored a run in the top of the first inning, but Adrian responded with eight runs in the bottom of the inning. Kalamazoo added a run in the third before the Bulldogs scored again in the fifth and sixth innings. Kalamazoo had 12 hits compared to 11 by Adrian, but the Bulldogs also took advantage of seven walks while the Hornets did not have any walks.

Blake Bean was 4-for-4 with a double and a triple while scoring both runs.

Chase Coselman and Spencer Baldwin each had two hits. Baldwin and Doug Propson each drove in a run.
