KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Chase Coselman of the Kalamazoo College baseball team has been honored as this week's SAAC Men's Hornet of the Week for his performance in last week's games.
Coselman, a senior from Fenton, Mich. (Fenton HS) had a solid offensive showing in Kalamazoo's four-game series with Adrian over the weekend. He totaled seven hits and had two walks to land on base nine times over 14 at-bats, recording an on-base percentage of .643.
In the team's 4-3 win over 12th-ranked Adrian, Coselman came in clutch with an RBI single to score two runs for the Hornets and tie the game in the seventh inning. He ended the weekend with a .583 batting average.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to host Alma in the first round of the MIAA Tournament on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
