Kalamazoo College's Doug Propson was named MIAA Baseball Position Player of the Week on Monday. This is his second selection this season.
A senior from Rochester, Mich. (Stoney Creek), Propson hit .522 (12-23) while helping the Hornets go 5-0 last week. He had multiple hits in each game and finished the week with four doubles, one home run and eight RBIs.
On the season, Propson is batting .391 overall with 11 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 38 RBIs. He's also stolen 13 bases in 14 attempts.
The Hornets (19-10, 11-5) are scheduled to host Alma in a doubleheader on Tuesday, May 3 beginning at 2 p.m.
