Doug Propson was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday. This is his second consecutive selection and third this season.
A senior from Rochester, Mich. (Stoney Creek), Propson hit .450 for the week with nine hits, four doubles and 10 RBIs. His performance helped the Hornets go 4-1 on the week and secure a second place finish in the MIAA.
For the season, Propson is hitting .399 with 12 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 48 RBIs. He's also stolen 17 bases in 19 attempts.
Kalamazoo finished the regular season 23-11 overall and in second place in the MIAA with a 15-6 league record. The Hornets host Adrian in an MIAA Tournament game on Wednesday, May 11 at 4 p.m.
