KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The 2021 Kalamazoo College football team is set to begin its season on Sunday, March 21 on the road against Olivet. The Hornets take the field for the first time since fall 2019 after the fall season was postponed due to Covid-19. The shortened schedule features five games against conference opponents. The Hornets bring back 14 players for their senior season (47 returners total) and welcome 19 freshmen to the squad.

Head Coach Jamie Zorbo

Coach Zorbo returns for his 13th season in charge of the Hornet football program. He has seen 40 different players receive All-MIAA recognition since taking over in 2008. Zorbo and the Hornets won seven games in 2018 which was the most for a Kalamazoo team since 1983. The 2018 team allowed just 166 points against which was the lowest mark since the 1991 team gave up just 76 points.

Quoting Coach Zorbo

"Every day brings new and different challenges and we constantly have to adapt and problem solve. I expect our team to continue to relentlessly prepare to be the best football team they can be one day at a time and to be grateful for every snap they get to play this spring. We have a great opportunity to compete this spring. Not everyone who plays at our level can say that."
