KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Noah Coplan of the Kalamazoo College football team was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football Team on Thursday. Members of the All-District Team advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
Coplan, a senior from River Forest, Ill. (Oak Park & River Forest HS) wrapped up a successful fourth season on the Hornet football team in March. He received First Team All-MIAA honors as a defensive lineman and was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
Coplan totaled nine tackles over two games in the shortened 2021 season while maintaining a 3.71 GPA as a business major. Last year he recorded 56 tackles along with 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks, both the second-most on the team, respectively.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District team honors players for their performances both on the field and in the classroom. District 6 includes NCAA Division III schools in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
