DJ Courtney was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Monday. It is his second selection as Hornet of the Week this season.
A freshman from Miami, Fla. (Christopher Columbus HS), Courtney averaged 13.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of games last week while also sinking 5-of-9 3-pointers. His totals included a 22-point performance at Case Western Reserve University on Friday.
On the season, Courtney averages 13.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 54.1 percent from the field and 44.7 percent from 3-point range.
Kalamazoo hosts Hanover College on Monday at 5 p.m. followed by a home game against North Central on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
