Men's Lacrosse Falls at Albion

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team was defeated 21-11 at Albion College on Thursday.

Kalamazoo led 3-2 after 10 minutes of play before Albion evened it up at 3-3 at the end of the first quarter. The host Britons proceeded to score the first six goals of the second quarter to take a 9-3 lead. Kalamazoo scored two of the final three to make it a 10-5 game at halftime.

The two teams exchanged goals for most of the third quarter with Albion maintaining the five-goal lead (15-10) after three. It was still a five-goal game (16-11) a minute into the fourth before Albion scored the game's final five goals to take the 21-11 win.

Albion finished with 79 shots in the game compared to 27 by Kalamazoo. 

Jack Loveland led the Hornets in scoring with four goals.

Jake Nugent scored a pair of goals with two assists. Brandon Wright also scored twice with an assist. 

Kalamazoo is scheduled to be back in action at home against Adrian next Tuesday, March 23 at 7 p.m.
