Men's Soccer Shuts out Alma

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team shut out Alma 2-0 on Tuesday night at home. 

Senior Ben Meschke got on the board early for the Hornets with a goal in the 9th minute off an assist from Aidan Hurley. It was his second goal in as many games.

The two teams went scoreless for the majority of the game after Kalamazoo's goal until Gold Afolabi came up with a shot in the net at 89:06, assisted by Meschke. The senior took three shots on goal in the contest. 

The Hornets had an impressive 24 shots attempted to Alma's eight and held a ten-two advantage in shots on goal. 

Goalie Luke Kastran played all 90 minutes and made two saves in goal. 

Kalamazoo (2-0) is scheduled to play at Adrian next on April 2 at 12 p.m.
