Kalamazoo College's Lucy Hart was selected to the 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 Team on Thursday.
Hart, a junior first baseman from Evanston, Ill. (Evanston), carries a 3.97 GPA as a biochemistry major.
Hart earned All-MIAA First Team honors this season as well after leading the Hornets with a .415 batting average, the fourth-highest average in school history. She also set school records for hits (44) and doubles (11). Her RBI total (30) and runs scored (28) were second-best all-time. She made just one error in 243 chances at first base.
The Kalamazoo College softball team finished 21-13 overall, the program's first 20-win season and best winning percentage in school history.
CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) District 6 of NCAA Division III includes colleges and universities in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. As an Academic All-District selection, Hart advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
