Women's Basketball Falls to #11 Trine

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 84-16 at home to No. 11 Trine University Saturday afternoon.

Trine shot 51.7 percent overall while holding Kalamazoo to 12.1 percent. The Thunder made 8-of-20 three-pointers and 16-of-21 free throws. Kalamazoo did not make a three-pointer while making 8-of-15 free throws.

Trine also held a 36-28 advantage in rebounds and forced the Hornets into a 25-turnover differential.

Laila Vincent led the Hornets with seven points and six rebounds.

Kylah Davis finished with four points.

Jackie Brines and Zenaida Sackett each had two steals.

Kalamazoo returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Calvin.
