Danielle Simon began her first year as an assistant coach with the Kalamazoo College women's basketball program in 2018.
Simon played guard for the Hornets from 2014-18 and started every game during her last three seasons. She earned All-MIAA Second Team honors as a senior after leading the Hornets in assists (116), steals (70), total rebounds (189) and rebounding average (7.6 rpg). She was second on the team in scoring (11.2 ppg), blocked shots (19), offensive rebounds (58) and defensive rebounds (131). Simon posted a triple-double against Adrian on Jan. 20, 2018 with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. She recorded seven double-doubles throughout her career.
A native of Portland, Mich., Simon graduated from Kalamazoo College with a degree in business in June of 2018. In addition to coaching at K, Simon works with Bronson Sports Medicine Specialists in Kalamazoo.
