BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's golf team shot 371 as a team during the first round of the two-day MIAA Fall Final at Bedford Valley Golf Club. The Hornets are in ninth place after the first day, trailing Olivet by nine strokes.
Sydney Pickell led the Hornets with an 80 on Friday.
Ella Szczublewski shot 89, followed by Marissa Kovac at 92. Natalie Martinez was the fourth scorer for Kalamazoo with a season-best 110.
Saturday's final round is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
