Women's Lacrosse Wins 21-3 at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team won 21-3 at Alma College on Saturday.

Kalamazoo scored four goal in the first four minutes to play and led 7-0 before Alma got on the board with a goal with 19:20 left in the first half. The Hornets scored eight more goals over the final 19 minutes to take a 15-1 lead into halftime.

Kalamazoo scored twice in the first four minutes of the second half while outscoring Alma 6-2 for the entire half.

Kalamazoo outshot Alma 37-10 including 30-5 on goal. The Hornets won 21 of 24 draws controls.

Rose Bogard and Rachel Madar each scored five goals to lead Kalamazoo offensively. Bogard also had an assist. Madar led the team with nine draw controls.

Leah Tardiff added four goals. Lilly Baumann had an assist and was credited with three caused turnovers.

Kalamazoo returns to action at home next Saturday, April 10 with a 4 p.m. start against Saint Mary's.
