Rose Bogard was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday. It is her second selection this season.
A senior from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Community HS), Bogard recorded 11 goals, one assist, 16 ground balls, 20 draw controls and five caused turnovers in a pair of games last week.
She kept the Hornets in a tight game at Aquinas with seven goals, while scoring four in a home win over Earlham. After her performance last week, she leads the MIAA in ground balls and caused turnovers, and is second in goals and third in draw controls. Her 17 draw controls in the Aquinas game is second only to Rachel Madar for a single game at K.
The Hornets (3-1) are scheduled to be back in action Saturday, March 12 at Concordia Chicago.
