Women's Lacrosse Falls to Mount Union

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team lost 17-7 to Mount Union on Sunday at MacKenzie Field.

The visiting Purple Raiders scored three goals in the first 2:12 of play and led 7-3 at the end of the first quarter. Mount Union took an 11-4 lead into halftime.

Mount Union outshot Kalamazoo 37-22, including 30-15 on goal.

Hannah Heeren led the Hornets with four goals, seven draw controls, six ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Rose Bogard scored two goals with six ground balls and three draw controls.

Sydney Myszenski scored Kalamazoo's other goal.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to open conference play at Adrian next Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m.
