NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team lost 1-0 in overtime in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Saint Mary's College on Saturday.

After 90 minutes of scoreless play in regulation, Saint Mary's scored the game-winner in the 94th minute.

The host Belles outshot Kalamazoo 18-11 overall, but just 6-5 on goal with each team's keeper making five saves.

"I was pleased with our defensive effort today as a team, most notably Karen Timm and Suzanne Miller," said Kalamazoo Head Coach Bryan Goyings. "It was disappointing not to leave with a better result after really limiting their offensive chances."

Kalamazoo returns home to face Olivet on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.

"Improving our attack will continue to be a focus moving forward," Goyings added.
