KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee announced on Tuesday that Olivia Anderson of the women's swimming and diving team has been named Hornet of the Week.
Anderson was also the recipient of the MIAA's Swimmer of the Week award for her performance.
The junior earned a trio of first-place finishes in the dual meet vs Olivet over the weekend. Anderson won the 100 and 200 Backstroke events with times of 1:01.67 and 2:13.22, respectively. She also won in the 200 IM race with a time of 2:18.74. Her time posted in the 200 Backstroke race ranks third in the conference, while her 100 Backstroke time ranks fifth.
Kalamazoo won against Olivet 153-73 on Saturday, winning or posting the top time in 13 events.
The Hornets return to the pool on Friday, Feb.12 for a tri-meet with Alma at Hope College starting at 6 p.m.
