KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee announced on Tuesday that Camille Misra of the women's swimming and diving team has been named women's Hornet of the Week.
Misra made an impact at Friday's meet with Alma and Hope as she finished first in the 100 Backstroke race and was part of the women's 200 Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay teams that took second place.
The Sophomore won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 58.50, good for a second-place ranking in the conference and a seventh-place ranking in Division III in that race. She also led off the 200 Freestyle Relay team with a 25.49 split and anchored on the 200 Medley Relay, touching the wall at 24.87.
This is Misra's second time receiving Hornet of the Week honors during her career.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to compete at the MIAA Championships at Calvin on March 4 and 6.
