Petrie, Vande Pol Earn CSCAA Scholar All-American Honors

Eve Petrie and Sam Vande Pol were recognized with Second Team Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2021-22 season. Criteria included earning a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participation at a diving zone qualification meet. Both Hornet divers competed at the NCAA III Region 1 Diving Championships in February.

A senior from East Lansing, Mich. (East Lansing HS), Petrie also earned All-MIAA honors this season after finishing second in the 3-meter event and third in the 1-meter event at the MIAA Championships. She finished 18th at the regional meet on the 3-meter board and 25th on the 1-meter.

Vande Pol, a freshman from Kalamazoo (Loy Norrix), finished 20th at the regional meet on the 1-meter board and 24th on the 3-meter. She finished fourth at the MIAA Championships on the 1-meter board and sixth on the 3-meter.
