KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Caroline Norton of the Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was named this week's women's SAAC Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
Norton came up with several great performances for the Hornets in their two matches last week.
Norton, a junior from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Skyline HS) had several solid performances in Kalamazoo's two wins this past week. In a 9-0 win over Albion, she defeated her opponent at No. 1 singles and won at No. 2 doubles 8-1 with Renee Torres.
On Saturday against Saint Mary's she picked up another win at No. 1 singles and again won with Torres at No. 2 doubles.
Norton holds a 4-4 overall, 3-1 MIAA record this season at No. 1 singles. She is 6-1, 4-0 in conference play at No. 2 doubles with Renee Torres.
This is Caroline's second time being named Hornet of the Week this season, and she was also this week's women's tennis MIAA Player of the Week.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to be back in action Wednesday, April 21 at Albion.
