NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost in three sets at Manchester Wednesday night, 25-20, 25-12, 25-21.
Kalamazoo trailed early in the first set before tying it up at 15-15. The Spartans scored 10 of the last 15 points to take the 25-20 win.
Kalamazoo fell behind 8-1 in the second set before cutting the deficit to five. Manchester scored eight of the last 10 points for the 25-12 win.
Kalamazoo led early, including 7-4 before a 6-0 Manchester run put the Spartans on top. Kalamazoo tied it at 15-15 before Manchester slowly pulled away for the 25-21 win.
Halley Johnson led the Hornets with six kills. Hannah VanderLugt added three.
Molly Horton had six assists, while Jana Molby added four.
Morgan Shearer had a team-high nine digs. Lizzy Rachiele and Halley Johnson each had four.
Kalamazoo travels to Olivet on Friday to face Spalding University at 8 p.m.
