OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team defeated Spalding University in five sets at Olivet Friday night, 19-25, 25-14, 25-21, 26-28, 15-12.

Unofficially, Halley Johnson led the Hornets with 13 kills and 10 digs. Hannah VanderLugt added nine kills, while Toni Koshmider and Claire Davis each had eight.
Molly Horton was credited with a team-high 20 assists. Jana Molby had 17 assists.
Lizzy Rachiele led the team with 20 digs. Morgan Shearer finished with 15.
The Hornets are back in action Saturday with a pair of matches at Albion College. Kalamazoo faces Baldwin Wallace University at noon followed by Illinois College at 2 p.m.
