What is your favorite sports moment at K?
Hitting a clutch 3 pointer vs Olivet my freshman year while my high school coach was in attendance.
What is your most memorable academic experience at K?
Working with Dr. Apps and Jake Whitney on a paper in Econometrics where we predicted Ford's car sales by using an advanced statistical model. It was my first academic experience where what I learned in class translated to real world applicable skills.
Why did you choose to attend Kalamazoo College?
I chose to attend K for the opportunity to continue my athletic career without compromising my academic/career goals.
What do you enjoy most about road trips during your season?
Playing Euchre 3D for hours on the bus.
What is your least favorite thing about road trips during your season?
The seats aren't made for 5,6,7 hour bus rides...
Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
Paul Pierce because of his ability to outsmart defenders in order to get his shot off. Additionally, he exemplified the hard work and dedication necessary to succeed in athletics.
What is your favorite class and why?
Negotiation and Persuasion with Dr. Hultberg because it is a class that translates directly to the business world.
Who is your favorite professor and why?
Dr. Berry in the political science department because he embraces each student's political ideologies and actively encouragese healthy debate. Also Dr. Apps in the economics/business department because of her ability to assist students without holding their hands through the process.
Other than the sport you play, what other sports activity are you good at?
I like to think I'm a decent golfer, but Ben Reiter may diagree...
Is there another game in which you dominate? (card games, lawn games, pool, darts, etc.)
I'm a "sneaky" euchre player.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?
Researching different invesetment strategies and making stock trades.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
Taco Tuesday, no doubt.
Who is your role model?
My dad and grandfather. They have shown me how to succeed on and off the court while always putting family first.
What do you enjoy most about practice?
The feeling of gratification after a good practice.
What do you like least about practice?
Long hours of film.
What are your plans/goals after graduation?
Either work for a large investment firm or open and operate my own small business.
