My Summer
This summer I was an intern at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Indiana completing research in their drug metabolism group. One of the best parts about this experience was being able to learn from so many brilliant scientists and complete an interdisciplinary research that was geared at improving the assessment of the risks associated with a new drug candidate. It was a great experience to be able to see how my love for science could contribute to improving drug development at Eli Lilly. Also, I enjoyed the ability to network with the professionals in the company and learn about their education and career paths. Through my internship at Eli Lilly I was able to apply many of the concepts I have learned in my chemistry major. This experience helped me to see what a potential career in industry would be like and confirmed that I would like to continue to grad school to pursue my PhD.
What's Next
Athletically, I look forward to having a full roster for the golf team. This is the first time in my career that we will have a full team. As a captain I am excited to foster a tight knit team and help the golf program grow which will hopefully continue for years to come. Academically, I am looking forward to finishing my major and taking some fun electives.
