Kalamazoo College's Jack Clark was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Position Player of the Week on Monday.
A junior from Ann Arbor, Clark won position player laurels after scoring a run in all six of Kalamazoo's games last week to help lead the Hornets to their first four-game sweep of Albion in program history for a 5-1 week. He posted eight hits for a .471 batting average and knocked in five runs to go along with his nine runs scored. Clark reached base in five of six at-bats on four hits and a walk in a 12-inning 7-6 victory. He collected 10 walks on the week to produce an on-base percentage of .690. Playing every inning for Kalamazoo, Clark ended the week with no errors and a .588 slugging percentage.
Kalamazoo (8-4-1, 4-0 MIAA) returns to action at Adrian on Saturday, April 2. Kalamazoo hosts Adrian in the final two games of the series on Sunday, April 3.
