ANGOLA, Ind. – Beginning the day tied for second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings, the Kalamazoo College and Trine University baseball teams wrapped up their four-game series on the Thunder's campus Sunday afternoon.

Trine came away victorious in both games, winning game one 4-1 and game two 7-0.

Game One

After both teams were held in check for the first two innings, Kalamazoo took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third as Ryan Orr drove a ball deep enough in center field allowing Josh Reuter to tag up and score.

Trine responded, though, scoring one in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game.

The Thunder kept their bats going in the bottom of the fifth tacking on three more runs.

The Hornet bats were limited to just four hits in the game. Four different Hornets recorded hits.

Game Two

Kalamazoo's bats remained quiet in the final game of the series as the Hornets recorded just three hits throughout the game.

Trine took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and never looked back.

The Thunder combined for five more runs in the third, fourth and sixth.

Jordan Wiley stood out for the Hornets going 2-for-3.

Kalamazoo will take a break from MIAA action when they host Ohio Northern this upcoming Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
