GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team dropped two games against Calvin on Saturday afternoon with the first game ending at 2-1 and the second at 5-2.

Game 1

After a scoreless three innings to begin the game, the Knights tallied two in the bottom of the fourth to take a 2-0 lead. 

Kalamazoo responded in the top half of the sixth when Alex Fultz drove in Chase Coselman from second base.

The Hornets had runners on second and third in the final inning, but were unable to get a second run on the board.

Kalamazoo out-hit Calvin nine to five in the game. Chase Coselman and Austin Duff led the way with two hits each. 

Jack Brockhaus pitched six innings while only allowing one earned run and striking out six batters. 

Game 2

Calvin struck first in the second game with a run in the third. The Knights added four more in the seventh and eighth to get out to a 5-0 lead. 

The Hornets tallied two in the final frame, but were unable to complete a comeback. 

Duff led Kalamazoo with one hit and two RBIs. Five other Hornets had one hit in the game. 

Parker Sisovsky started on the mound for Kalamazoo and went seven innings while allowing two runs on just five hits. 

The Hornets and Knights will conclude their season series on Monday, April 22 at Kalamazoo. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
