Baseball Splits with Alma

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team split a doubleheader with Alma at Woodworth Field on Saturday.

Game One

Kalamazoo won the first game 5-3. The Hornets scored three in the bottom of the first, but the Scots evened the score with three runs in the top of the fifth. Kalamazoo scored two in the bottom half and closed out the 5-3 win.

Kalamazoo had seven hits in the game led by Alex Fultz and Noah Hecht with two apiece.

Hecht doubled and drove in two runs. Stefan Leclerc also had two RBIs.

Jack Brockhaus allowed just four hits and one earned run in the complete game win. He struck out a career-high 10 while walking only one.

Game Two

Alma won the second game 12-2. The Scots led 3-2 after three innings before scoring four in the fourth, one in the sixth, and four in the ninth.

Jordan Wiley, Chase Coselman, Austin Duff, and Alex Fultz each had two hits in the game. 

Coselman and Fultz each drove in a run.

Kalamazoo is currently scheduled to travel to Alma for a doubleheader on Sunday, April 28.
