KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team completed the series sweep of Olivet with a 12-1 win in seven innings at Woodworth Field on Sunday.
After scoring two in the first Kalamazoo put seven runs on the board in the second inning. Kalamazoo added three more in the fifth. Olivet scored its only run in the top of the second.
Kalamazoo outhit Olivet 8-4. Four of the Hornets' hits were for extra bases.
Max Gordon had three hits with an RBI.
Doug Propson had two hits, including a double, with two RBIs.
Blake Bean drove in three with a home run in the fifth.
Harrison Poeszat had a double and three RBIs. Lukas Bolton had a double and two RBIs.
Joe Wade picked up the win with three strikeouts in three innings.
Braden Mussat, Jacob Roubein and Dean Turpin combined for a scoreless four innings in relief.
The Hornets are back in action Tuesday, May 3 when the host Alma in a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
