KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team won its 11th straight game, defeating Alma College 8-3 at home Friday afternoon. The win over the second-place Scots also gives the Hornets a three-game advantage in the MIAA standings.

Alma got on the board first with a run in the top of the first. Kalamazoo scored six runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by a 2-run single by Cooper Mills and a 2-run double by Ryar Rinehart

Logan Lockhart drew a bases loaded walk in the fourth to make it 7-1 in favor of Kalamazoo. Harrison Poeszat homered to left field in the fifth to put the Hornets up 8-1.

Alma scored two in the top of the eighth before a ground out and striekout ended the threat. Brenden Oprinski retired all three Scots in the ninth to end the game.
