The Kalamazoo College football program announced that BJ Smith, Andrew Thiede and Alex White will serve as captains for the 2016-17 season.
Smith (Muskegon, Mich./Muskegon Orchard View) will be a senior defensive back who recorded 49 total tackles with three interceptions last season.
Thiede (Sterling Heights, Mich./Stevenson) will be a senior defensive end who recorded 31 tackles with a team-high six sacks last year.
White (Litchfield, Mich./Homer) will be a junior quarterback who threw for 1,872 yards with 20 touchdowns last sesaon.
The Hornets are scheduled to open the season at home against Oberlin College on Sept. 3.
